Explained

God  First

Introduction of our goal to focus on God first and foremost. “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)

God is First

God is. He is the alpha and omega. It is for His glory that all things exist and find their purpose. “For from Him through Him and to Him are all things.  To Him be glory forever.” (Romans 11:36)

God Spoke First

God spoke in the beginning and His gift of physical life was given to all. He has spoken in His Son, the Word, and those who believe receive Spiritual life (John 1). He has spoken every word of Scripture and we are given understanding to our every-day life. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Gods First Man

Of all created beings, only man is spoken of in the Scriptures as being created in God's image. "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. . . . So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" (Gen. 1:26-27). To acknowledge this is to recognize that man, the creature, uniquely bears the stamp of his Creator. Therefore, our identity, value and purpose is in the reality, we are His-image bearer.

God Loved First

“Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love” (1 John 4:8). God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Therefore, “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19).

God First, I am Second

Recognizing there is a God and that ‘you’ are not Him, frees ‘you’ from the bondage of selfishness.  This is one of the first steps to a deeper joy of seeing yourself in light of who you are in Christ.  He must become greater; I must become less.” (John 3:30)

God First (at School)

God commanded us to love Him “with all of our mind” (Matthew 22:37). Education exists to bring our attention and adoration to our God.

God First (in our Life)

“In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” (Proverbs 3:6 TLB) Is God first in your decision making

Gods First & Second Coming

Living a life that has greater goals then temporary treasures requires setting our sights on seeing God face to face some day.  “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.  Before him will be gathered all the nations, and He will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.” (Matthew 25:31-32)
